These special applications require a kind of low cost biped mobile robot that can function covertly in highly confined environments. However, biped robots necessitate high costs. In the past, biped robots have been hard to build and very expensive. This study provides a contribution describing the mechanical construction of a low cost bipedal mechanism, as well as the path record system of a biped surveillance robot for indoor reconnaissance tasks.
