This study investigated the effects of job demands and resources as well as emotional labour on employees’well being. Data were collected via a self-administered questionnaire. A total of 240 nurses from a teaching hospital in Taiwan returned the valid questionnaire. Structural equation modelling and confirmation factor analysis techniques were conducted. Results showed that job demands and resources can affect the choice of emotional labour strategies and employees’well-being. Emotional laobur strategies have a mediate effect betwee job demands, resources and employees’well-being.
