    摘要: 本文透過國內外相關文獻蒐集之資料,從運動產業的意義、範疇與發展現況,探討運動產業的社會效益及經濟效益。綜合相關文獻,歸納運動產業發展的社會效益包括休閒效益、提供現代社會多元活動的價值及社會結構重要的舞台等三項;運動產業發展的經濟效益包括提供大量的工作機會、延伸運動系統的發展空間及促成科技研發與創新等三項。顯見運動產業發展對社會公共價值及經濟發展之影響至巨。因此,從國外運動產業發展的經驗來看,隨著經濟發展的腳步、國民生活型態改變及健康與運動意識抬頭,運動與休閒將成為現代國民日常生活所需,運動產業與其相關產業將是國家整體經濟體制中重要的環節。
    This article examines sports industry's social and economic benefits through domestic and international literature reviews in areas such as the definition of the sports industry, its scope and current development. Integrating relevant literatures, 3 social benefits of sports industry development include recreational benefits, provision of multi-faceted events and platform for social structure; Economic benefits of sports industry development include provision of jobs, extend development capabilities of the sports system and promote scientific discovery and innovation. From the above examples it is apparent of the influential effects that the sports industry has on social contribution and economic development. In addition, from the development trend of other countries, sports and recreation will soon become a necessity of the general public, in response to the growing awareness of health and sports that result in a change in lifestyle. Soon, sports industry and its related industries will become an essential part of the overall economy.
