摘要: | Presence of harmful cyanobacteria in water resources may pose addition risk to publichealth and/or deteriorating drinking water quality. The allelopathic effect of Antrodiacinnamomea and Vitis amurensis extracts on the cell viability of toxigeniccyanobacteria in fresh water were investigated. The crude extracts and three purifiedtriterpenoids, including antcins B, antcins C, and antcins K, were selected as theallelochemicals for cyanobacteria. Experiments with 24 hr duration were conducted to
determine the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50), defined as theconcentration for 50% inhibition of the targeted cyanobacteria, of the crude extractedthe three triterpenoids for harmful cyanobacteria, which are Microcystis aeruginosa,Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii, Anabaena circinalis and Anabaenopsis sp.. The IC50of the crude extract of Antrodia cinnamomea was 660 μg/mL on icrocystisaeruginosa, 810 μg/mL on Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii, 193 μg/mL on nabaenacircinalis, 307 μg/mL on Anabaena circinalis and the crude extract of Vitis amurensis was 404 μg/mL on icrocystis aeruginosa, 308 μg/mL on Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii, 402 μg/mL on Anabaena circinalis, 383 μg/mL on Anabaena circinalis indicating that the natural extracts does have allelopathic effects on algal cells. In the future, the pure compounds will be isolated and purified from the two fferent kinds of crude extracts and be evaluated the feasibility for algae control in natural water bodies. |
