    Abstract: 枯西氏錐蟲(Trypanosoma cruzi)及臺灣蝙蝠錐蟲(Trypanosoma taiwanianum)是在半翅目(Hemiptera)的昆蟲宿主及恆溫的脊椎動物宿主之間交替循環生活。在此複雜的生活史中,錐蟲至少具有四種不同型態:側鞭型(epimastigote)、錐體型(trypomastigote)、圓鞭型(spheromastigote)及無鞭型(amastigote)。將臺灣蝙蝠錐蟲以37度c培養2小時,然後再以41度c培養1或2小時後,其圓鞭型及無鞭型有增加的趨勢。培養之臺灣蝙蝠錐蟲無論是對照組或是以熱休克處理者,皆可出現少數錐體型蟲體(<1.3%),而以同樣培養基培養之枯西氏錐蟲則無此種狀態。經過熱休克處理隻枯西氏錐蟲在試管底部有蟲體聚集現象,以41度c處理1小時至2小時後,側鞭型蟲體出現之百分比由70%增加至87%,以37度c培養2小時再以41度c培養1至2小時後,側鞭型蟲體出現百分比由91%增加至99%。經十二烷硫酸鈉-聚丙烯胺膠體電泳(SDS-PAGE)對兩種錐蟲經熱休克處理後之蛋白質分析,在溫度升高時,大多數蛋白質的合成受抑制。經過熱休克處理後有些類似熱休克蛋白質(heat shock protein)的色帶出現,在枯西氏錐蟲有分子量為70.5及74.9kDa的蛋白質,而臺灣蝙蝠錐蟲蛋白質的分子量為53.6,69.6及70.4kDa。
