Abstract:	合倂（倂購）之風潮，正在全球銀行界急速增加，因為大多數銀行家認為透過併購不但可以降低營運成本，而且可以佔有更大的市場，然而，這些僅止於想像與猜測，尚未被有效的證實，本文研究動機即在此，透過外國的期刊、文獻及參考資料，以美國銀行界之併購為研究對象，深入分析合併前後之比較，在財務狀況、損益情形與營運狀況作一探討，提供個人研究心得分享讀者，因個人才疏學淺，如有不足之處，但請不吝指教。
