    Abstract: 本實驗旨在探討預發芽糙米萃取物(PGBRE)改善代謝症候群誘發之發炎反應的功效。將C57BL/6小鼠分組:食用正常飼料組、高脂肪飼料組、高脂肪飼料合併口服PGBRE 30、300、600 mg/kg等5組。18周後,高脂肪飼料組的小鼠體重明顯增加、血糖與血脂肪偏高、與發炎有關之細胞介質濃度升高、adiponectin及抗氧化的酵素濃度下降。
    相反的,高脂肪飼料合併口服PGBRE組之體重、血糖、血脂肪、發炎及過氧化指標:interleukin-6、tumor necrosis factor-α、interferon-γ、nitric oxide、prostaglandin E2 及 malondialdehyde獲得明顯改善,抗氧化的酵素濃度也明顯回升。PGBRE可以顯著的改善代謝症候群誘發之發炎反應,值得未來更進一步的研究。
