    Abstract: 乾嘉學術,吳、皖二派二派為主流;前者惠棟主之,後者戴震為導,皆各領風會,沾溉後世。而阮元學脈,則承戴氏以行。
    阮學主體,一言以蔽之,即「推明古訓,實事求是」。以其推明古訓,故考證經史,皆追本溯源,務還本來詁意;以其實事求是,故網羅金石,尋物以對,使事得以證,「經」得以明。嚴格說來,與宋明空疏之義理,儼然有別。
    阮元之學,所以蔚為「漢學最後之重鎮」,古訓之外,纂輯之功,蓋不可掩。若《十三經注疏》、《皇清經解》、《經籍纂詁》等傳世之作,皆在其有生之年完成,雖不若《四庫全書》之浩翰袤沃,然獎掖士林之績,必為久遠。
    再者,阮元考據,仍兼義理,其義理抒發,即在發揚儒學。以孔孟之學,為人文教化的根本,亦道德價值的源頭活水,故其仁學於所著《揅經室集》,即列重要環節,蓋以仁兼禮義,亦兼智信,有仁者,其他諸德即涵蘊其中。故賢哲慧識之流芳百代,乃在推己及人,而其歸宿,即在仁道的極至。
    又者,阮元為宦所至,皆籌建學舍,參與書院教授,使莘莘學子不僅書達禮,亦且詩文富贍,所謂「文行忠信」,於阮元幕府,殆已敦篤踐履。
    淵淵其淵,浩浩其天,研讀前賢典籍,彌覺俊睿懿範,映照吾人顏色。
